Apex612W is a Wafer Level Packing (WLP) vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer detector. This VOx uncooled focal plane detector covers long wavelength from 8 to 14μm with a resolution of 640×512 and pixel size of 12μm.
Thanks to wafer level packaging technology, the WLP infrared detector has simpler manufacturing process and is more suitable for high volume, low cost production, making it easier to integrate into various thermal imaging applications. Due to its miniature size, lightweight design, and low power consumption, the Apex612W thermal infrared detector is ideal for consumer electronics and emerging markets.
We specialize in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of thermal imaging detectors and infrared modules. We provide customers with various infrared thermal imaging solutions that shorten secondary development time and significantly reduce costs.

The Apex612W uncooled microbolometer detector is widely used in Thermography, Security & Monitoring, Outdoors, ADAS, Intelligent Hardware, Smart Building, Smart Home, AIoT and other applications.
Using the principle of infrared radiant thermal effect, the uncooled infrared detector converts infrared radiation energy into heat energy with infrared absorption material, increasing the temperature of the sensitive material. This causes corresponding changes in physical parameters of the sensitive material, which are converted into electrical signals or visible light signals through designed conversion mechanisms to enable object detection.
Uncooled infrared focal plane detectors do not require an Integrated Dewar Cooler Assembly (IDCA) device and can operate at room temperature. They offer advantages including fast start-up, low power consumption, small size, light weight, long lifespan, and low cost. While sensitivity may not match cooled infrared detectors, years of development have made uncooled detectors more cost-effective with broader application prospects.
